Products for Magicians

Curtis Kam

is a rarity in an odd field—a general practitioner of specialty entertainment. Living and working on an island in the middle of the Pacific, Curtis is a sleight-of-hand expert who headlined a Waikiki stage show for thirteen years, designs and builds illusions for award winning stage shows, chases ghosts, pitches products at tradeshows, choreographs hand movements for television, reviews security precedures, lectures to magicians and reads minds. During the day he's a trial attorney.

Born February 1960, full-blooded Chinese in the middle of St. Louis, Missouri, raised in Honolulu, Hawai'i since the age of seven. He owes his education to Yale University, University of Hawai'i's Richardson School of Law, and hundreds of card sharps, jugglers, street performers, showmen, amateurs, artists, and comics.

Thanks to magic, Curtis has traveled to Japan, Australia, and France. His favorite story involves his trip to the Netherlands, where he was scheduled to appear on the same program as Michael Gorbachev, until the famedpolitician spoke for too long and bumped him from the show. He harbors no bitterness.

Co-producer of the Hawai'i Wonderworker's Workshop for seven years, Curtis has spent time with famous members of the magic community like Larry Jennings, Roger Klause, Tommy Wonder, Dan Garrett, Daryl, Dan Harlan, John Kennedy, Carl Andrews, GregoryWilson, Karrell Fox, George Schindler, Harry Monti, Shintaro Fugiwara, Shigeo Futagawa, Allen Okawa, Kainoa Harbottle and many more.
